Hey there! Thanks for stopping by our little corner of the web. We are Jacquie and Ryan, a Chicago based newlywed couple in our thirties, just hoping to inspire you to navigate your marriage mindfully, date regularly, communicate with intention and go on lots of adventures!

With that, you can expect to join us on some of our local date nights, weekend adventures, vacations (hopefully soon), and learn with us as we grow in marriage. We love to share what works for us as we continue to learn to thrive in communication and more.

Need a friend with whom you can toss some solid communication ideas around, creative date ideas, and romantic travel guides to inspire you and your honey’s next getaway? You’re in the right place.

If you’re curious, Jacquie is the voice behind most of what you’ll find here (unless otherwise noted). So, a bit more about me…

I spent most of my adult years working as a Behavior Therapist in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, specifically with young people on the autism spectrum. I’m fascinated by human behavior and have been for as long as I can remember. I was the 12-year-old reading my older sisters’ psychology textbooks for fun.

So, to this day I find myself reading psychology articles and injecting lots of content related to mental health. And It happens that relationships are largely at the mercy of our behavior, self awareness, and ability to communicate. So of course, I can nerd out on this topic as well. I’m not an expert on any of these topics though, and that’s okay! Let’s learn and explore our relationships together.

Im happy to have created a space where I can enjoy combining all of my passions into one a harmonious project. I’m a lover of art, photography, writing, and helping others. I hope that this can be a soft place to land for other women, newlywed or not, looking for relatable content intended to both strengthen and inject more fun into your romantic relationships.

So welcome, and thank you for being here.

XO Jacquie
